Our Version of Casual Friday

August 25, 2017

It’s time to dress up again.

Sport coat – Polo Ralph Lauren
Shirt – our signature shirt, the WKC popover
Tie – Robert Jensen
Pocket square – R. Hanauer

Some things just don’t need to change .... and when we say this we are talking about iconic articles of clothing that simply never go out of style. One of the best examples of iconic sport coats comes from Ralph Lauren. The tartan sport coat is one we never tire of as we appreciate its quiet, old school charm.

Our signature Popover shirt is quickly on its way to becoming an iconic item. Our shirt is unlike any Popover you will find at other stores (if you can find them at all). We designed this shirt with a cutaway spread collar and then made it a button down. This is a really cool shirt, and a great white shirt is something we firmly believe in. To really appreciate our Popover we encourage you to come try one on. We think you will love all of the other details as well – elbow patches, front pocket with flap, box pleat, button on the back of the collar, and a locker loop. Cut and sewn exclusively for us in the USA, our signature Popover could very easily become your favorite shirt as well.

We show a lot of different knit ties in our Casual Friday email blasts, and there is good reason. We think it is one of the most important ties to have in your neckwear rotation. You can dress them up with a suit or wear them casually with your favorite pair of 5 pocket chinos. All of our knit ties are handmade in Italy by Mr. Robert Jensen.Mr. Jensen is an icon in his own right, and we are appreciative of the opportunity to be one of his chosen haberdasheries.

A pocket square is simply a must have. We tell folks all of the time, “Don’t get dressed without one.” For fall, our “go-to” pocket square is a white cotton with a navy whipstitch border. The border gives your pocket square a little more personality, and will reflect your elevation in good taste and confidence. Made for us by R. Hanauer in Rock Hill, South Carolina, the pocket square packs a sartorial wallop and can be as iconic as you want to make it.
